April 2008 Leo and Martin Scorsese are still working on their new project - the film's title is now officially 'Ashecliffe' - and it seems, between takes Leo sometimes find the time to watch a NBA basketball game:
BTW: I've watched Martin Scorsese's movie "Shine a Light" - The Rolling Stones at Beacon Theatre, New York 2006 - and found it very enjoyable: beautifully filmed (great location !), a good concert with great moments and an intimate Stones portrait with funny clips from their past (as it seemed to me from a fan's view) and I liked it a lot !
March 2008 The filming of Leonardo's new project 'Shutter Island' (second title: 'Ashecliffe') - with director Martin Scorsese - has started on March 5 at Taunton, Massachusetts. No set photos with Leo yet, but he made a short visit between takes to Hong Kong on March 23 - click here - to present 'The 11th Hour' there.

Nothing official yet, but....
February 15, 2008 Leonardo has finished shooting 'Body of Lies' in December and is quite obviously on holiday these days, as you can clearly see at the Martin Scorsese confirmed in one of the interviews he gave last week for the German film festival "Berlinale", that his next project will be 'Shutter Island' with Leonardo DiCaprio, which will probably start in March.

It looks very much as if 'Shutter Island' will be Leonardo's next film.
The screenplay - written by Laeta Kalogridis - is adapted from a novel by Dennis Lehane.
In the drama, which is set in 1954, Leonardo will play "U.S. Marshal Teddy Daniels, who is
investigating the disappearance of a murderess who escaped from a hospital for the criminally
insane and is presumed to be hiding on the remote Shutter Island." (from Variety)
The production will re-unite Martin Scorsese (as a director) and Leonardo DiCaprio for the fourth time; it will be a co-production between
Paramount Pictures and Columbia Pictures, and Leonardo's Appian Ways is one of the co-producers.
Ben Kingsley and Mark Ruffalo have already joined the project.
Variety reports the film is scheduled to start shooting in March - but there is nothing
confirmed yet by Leo's Official Website.

The filming of 'Body of Lies' has just begun. Leonardo will star together with Russel Crowe
under the direction of Ridley Scott ('The Gladiator').
The Warner Bros. picture is based on a novel by David Ignatius, and the screenplay is written by William Monahan,
who won an Oscar this year for Best Adapted Screenplay for 'The Departed'.
"'Body of Lies' is about a journalist (Leonardo), injured in the Iraq war, who is hired by the
CIA to track down an Al Qaeda leader in Jordan who is suspected of planning a terrorist attack
on the United States." - from the O-Site.
Filming will take place in Washington and Morocco, and the film is due for a release in 2008.

Leonardo was part of Live Earth on July 7, 2007 -
the worldwide event with concerts on every continent - even on the Antarctis - to draw the
attention to the threatenings of climatical changes we are facing now and in the near future,
which are caused by the - mainly human-made - global warming and how we
can react, take action and defight it.
June 2007 Leonardo is currently fiming "Revolutionary Road".
For this film he will be re-united with Kate Winslet; it is directed by Kate's husband, Sam Mendes;
and even Kathy Bates (the unsinkable Molly Brown from 'Titanic') will be in the film.

Spring 2007 Leonardo is dating Israelian model Bar Refaeli and visited Israel with her for a few days in March 2007.
