A few days before Cannes Leonardo was in Italy visiting the film set in Cinecittą and gave an interview to an Italian magazine:
"I had nothing to do with what became of the Titanic phenomenon and with what my face has become in the world," he says, "I will never get close to that level of success again, nor do I want it, nor will I ever try to obtain it."

Leonardo in Europe
Leonardo has spent the last weekend of May in good old Europe. He and
friend Tobey Maguire arrived Thursday night in Barcelona with a private flight. They seemed to
enjoy their little trip: After a Catalan dinner and short visit in a discotheque in the
evening, the next morning Leo decided to visit the Dali museum in Figueras, while Tobey went to the
zoo. There is a report of an extended party on Saturday night till the hours in the morning.
On Sunday Tobey and Leo moved to Madrid, where they lodged at the Ritz and attended Lenny Kravitz“
private party which he was giving after a concert.
Next day - Monday, June 3rd - Leo called for a private visit at the Thyssen museum in Madrid and
was excited to see the works of Carpaggio, Caravaggio, Rothko and Lucian Freud.
Leonardo also has been spotted on Tara Reid“s party bash in Paris on Tuesday night, Mick Jagger and
Tobey were there, too - and on Wednesday night he joined the Spiderman premiere after party in
London.

Leonardo DiCaprio spent a little quality time with former president Bill Clinton, Tom Hanks, Barbra Streisand and countless others -- as the stars came out to support the NRDC (The National Resources Defense Council) with their second annual fundraising event, "Earth to L.A. II."
ET caught up with the former box office king Leo - who revealed he is thrilled about the success of buddy Tobey Maguire's new 'Spiderman' blockbuster. And how is Tobey handling the wild ride? "He's seen a lot of stuff happen to me," Leo laughed, "So he knows what to do, and what not to do this time around! I've made the mistakes for him !"
