Interview with Frank Abagnale (Excerpt)
Question: Do you think Leonardo will do a good job playing you?
Frank Abagnale: Yes. When I first learned he would be playing me, I didn't think he'd be the best guy. But several month later, he called me at home one night and I spent about 50 minutes on the telephone with him. And I was so impressed with him because he was so intelligent, so articulate, and it was very important to him to be able to understand who I was, and to play this role. I was impressed that he really has literally no ego, he is not your typical Hollywood person, he's very down to earth, but more than that, I was impressed with the fact that he really wants to do a good job. He sees himself as an actor and when he's playing someone in real life he wants to try and play that person as well as he can.
